Arkansas Man Arrested with THC Gummies and Marijuana in Hopkins County

HOPKINS COUNTY, TX — A traffic stop along Interstate 30 in Hopkins County on May 18, 2025, led to the arrest of an Arkansas man after authorities found multiple types of narcotics inside his vehicle.

The driver, identified as Joshua Phillip Brock, age 44, of Cabot, Arkansas, was stopped by a Texas DPS Trooper for a traffic violation including failure to signal a lane change. During the stop, the trooper noted signs of potential drug involvement and conducted a probable cause search of the red Ford F-150.

Authorities discovered a wooden box containing marijuana, a glass pipe, and additional packaging. A separate plastic bag labeled “Marijuana/THC Gummies” was found with four THC-laced gummies inside. Brock allegedly admitted to possessing the marijuana.

As a result, he was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Hopkins County Jail. He now faces multiple charges, including:

  • Possession of Controlled Substance PG 2 ≥ 4G < 400G
  • Possession of Marijuana < 2oz (HS 481.121(b)(1))
  • Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (HS 481.125(a))
