HOPKINS COUNTY, TX — A woman from Little Rock, Arkansas, is facing a Driving While Intoxicated (DWI) charge after being pulled over by law enforcement on Interstate 30 in Hopkins County.
Authorities identified the suspect as Kaelyn Danielle Thompson, 29. According to the arrest affidavit, on the evening of May 21, 2025, officers observed a vehicle traveling westbound on I-30 failing to maintain a single lane. A traffic stop was conducted near the 125MM marker westbound.
Upon making contact with Thompson, officers observed signs of intoxication including slurred speech and poor balance. Standard field sobriety tests were administered, during which Thompson allegedly showed impairment. She was unable to complete the Walk and Turn and One Leg Stand tests due to balance issues, which officers attributed to alcohol or drug influence.
Following the field evaluation, Thompson was arrested and transported to the Hopkins County Jail. She refused to provide a blood specimen after being read the DIC-24 statutory warning. Her vehicle was impounded by Fuller’s Towing.
