HOPKINS COUNTY, TX – A Sulphur Springs man was arrested late Tuesday night after a reported assault involving a former partner at a local business.
Authorities say Christian Xavier Dixon, 21, was taken into custody on May 28, 2025, by Sulphur Springs Police after a reported altercation at Scrubbies, located at 641 Gilmer Street.
According to the arrest affidavit, officers arrived on scene just before 10 p.m. and found Dixon involved in a heated dispute with his ex-girlfriend. The victim told officers Dixon struck her in the face during an argument inside the store. Officers documented visible swelling on the victim’s left eye and lip.
After interviewing witnesses and gathering statements from those on scene, Dixon was arrested without incident. He was transported to the Hopkins County Jail and booked on the charge of Assault Causing Bodily Injury to a Family Member.
An emergency protection order was filed in connection with the incident.
All subjects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
