HOPKINS COUNTY, TX — A woman was arrested in the early morning hours of June 15, 2025, after interfering with police officers who were responding to a disturbance call at a residence on Calvert Street in Sulphur Springs.

According to the Sulphur Springs Police Department, 32-year-old Briana Lee Phillips was taken into custody after repeatedly yelling, pushing officers, and refusing commands to sit down and allow law enforcement to conduct their investigation.

Officers initially placed Phillips in a chair within the residence. However, she managed to slip her handcuffs and had to be restrained again by officers. Due to her refusal to walk, she was carried out to a patrol vehicle and transported to the Hopkins County Jail.

Phillips continued to be uncooperative with jail staff and was placed in a high-security holding cell. She faces one charge of Interference with Public Duties (MB).

No bond information was available at the time of reporting.
