Hopkins County, Texas (June 30, 2025) — A routine traffic stop for speeding on IH-30 led to the arrest of 29-year-old Bryce Livingston Bell of Rockwall, Texas, after troopers discovered marijuana and a smoking pipe inside his vehicle.

According to a report from the Texas Department of Public Safety, the stop occurred around 7:54 a.m. on June 29th. Officers pulled Bell over in a black Honda Civic for traveling over the speed limit. Upon approaching the vehicle, troopers detected the odor of marijuana.

Bell allegedly admitted to having marijuana in the vehicle and handed officers a bag of the substance. A probable cause search was then conducted, during which a marijuana smoking pipe was located in the front seat area of the vehicle.

Bell was subsequently restrained and transported to the Hopkins County Jail after being medically cleared by EMS.

Bell now faces charges of Possession of Marijuana Under 2oz and Resisting Arrest.
