Hopkins County, TX – Deputies arrested 47-year-old Jason Eugene Pierce of Sulphur Springs early Tuesday morning after he allegedly failed to provide his driver’s license during a traffic stop. The incident occurred near FM 71 and SH 19, according to the Hopkins County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies were dispatched to the area for a disturbance call. Pierce, who was involved in the disturbance, left in a vehicle before deputies arrived. After locating Pierce’s vehicle at the intersection of FM 71 and Highway 19, officers conducted a traffic stop. Pierce, identified as the driver, was arrested for Failure to Provide Driver’s License on Demand. He was transported to the Hopkins County Jail without incident.
