Greenville Police Investigating Fatal Shooting on Lee Street

Greenville Police Shooting Investigation

GREENVILLE, TX — The Greenville Police Department is investigating a fatal shooting that occurred on August 9, 2025, at approximately 8:20 p.m. in the 3500 block of Lee Street.


Officers responded to reports of shots fired and arrived to find a male victim suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. The victim was identified as Derreck Davis, a 47-year-old Black male. He was transported to Hunt Regional Medical Center, where he later died from his injuries.


Authorities report that the suspect remains at large. Detectives are actively pursuing leads and urging anyone with information to assist in the investigation.
