SULPHUR SPRINGS, TX — A shoplifting investigation at the Walmart on S. Broadway resulted in an arrest on August 17, 2025. According to a Sulphur Springs Police Department arrest affidavit, officers were dispatched at about 4:18 p.m. after asset protection reported a customer concealing merchandise.
Officer notes indicate the subject had placed items into a plastic shopping bag as if already purchased and had a pair of sunglasses in his pocket with no tag. Asset protection told police the sunglasses belonged to Walmart and that the bar code had been ripped off and left on an aisle. The value of the sunglasses was listed as $12.96.
The suspect—identified as Brandon Eli Glover, 41—was detained around 5:05 p.m., placed in double‑locked handcuffs, and transported to the Hopkins County Jail without incident.
