According to a Sulphur Springs Police Department arrest report, Ezequiel Noel Adame, 26, was taken into custody the evening of Saturday, August 23, 2025, following a reported retail theft at the Walmart located at 1750 S. Broadway.
Loss prevention told officers the suspect allegedly swapped price tags on a package of steaks and a bag of charcoal, went through a self-checkout, and passed the last point of sale. Store staff detained the individual until police arrived. The affidavit lists the total loss as $55.98.
Officers say a records check showed Adame had multiple outstanding warrants through Sulphur Springs Police. He was arrested, issued a criminal trespass warning for the property, and transported to the Hopkins County Jail where he was booked without incident.
