Hopkins County Arrest: Man Detained for Disorderly Conduct at Hospital

Hopkins County, TX – On the morning of September 4, 2025, a 30-year-old man identified as Steven Dallas Parton was arrested at a local hospital in Hopkins County for disorderly conduct.

According to the arrest affidavit, Sulphur Springs Police Department officers were dispatched to the hospital located on Airport Road after a report that a male subject was urinating in a hallway while exposing himself publicly. Hospital staff had asked the individual to leave, but he reportedly returned to the hallway and continued the behavior.

Upon arrival, officers made contact with the subject and noted a strong odor of alcohol coming from his person. Based on the behavior and officer observations, Parton was arrested for Disorderly Conduct and transported to the Hopkins County Jail without further incident.

The arresting officer was identified as Sgt. Mayes of the Sulphur Springs Police Department (SSPD). The offense was categorized as “Disorderly Conduct – MC” (Municipal Code) under Hopkins County guidelines.

This arrest highlights local law enforcement’s continued vigilance regarding public behavior, especially in sensitive environments such as medical facilities.
