Twin-Engine Plane Crash Kills Two in Tarrant County

TARRANT COUNTY, TX — Two people are dead following a tragic plane crash that occurred Sunday afternoon near 12701 N. Saginaw Blvd. Multiple fire and emergency units responded to the scene after 1:36 PM, when numerous 911 calls reported a downed aircraft and fire.

The aircraft involved was identified as a King Air Twin-Engine plane, which had departed from Alliance Airport shortly before the crash. First responders with the Fort Worth Fire Department arrived within five minutes and were met with a massive blaze involving several tractor trailers at the crash site.

At least ten tractor trailers were engulfed in flames, sparking additional grass fires that were later contained. The fire was brought under control by approximately 2:11 PM.

Two victims were pronounced deceased on the scene. Their identities have not yet been released. The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) and Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) are involved in the investigation, alongside local officials.

In total, around 60 Fort Worth Fire Department personnel responded, deploying 10 firetrucks, 14 support vehicles, and 3 ambulances. After initial containment, command of the scene was transitioned to the Tarrant County Fire Department, as the crash site was officially confirmed to be outside Fort Worth city limits.
