PARIS – Texas Department of Transportation officials today announced that pavement work will begin March 25 on State Highway 11 in portions of Fannin and Hunt Counties.
Contractor RK Hall LLC was granted 64 working days, weather permitting, to complete this project valued at more than $3.6 million, TxDOT officials said. The target date for completion of this project is late April 2019.
The contractor will overlay a new pavement surface on this roadway. The work will extend from the intersection of SH 11 and State Highway 78 in Fannin County to the Fannin-Hunt County line, and continue southeast from the county line to State Highway 34 in Hunt County, officials said.
The contractor will perform this work using phased construction, to help maintain east- and west-bound traffic movements and to minimize the use of necessary, temporary lane closures.
Motorists who regularly travel along this portion of SH 11 in Fannin County and Hunt County are asked to pay special attention to all signs, barricades and traffic controls, and to reduce their speed as they approach and travel through work zones. They should also avoid distractions such as cell phones, eating, drinking, or car audio or navigation systems.
