
A Hunt County Sheriffs Officer was in the area of Highway 224 near CR 4405 when he found a subject severely injured from a Motor Vehicle Accident.
Upon arrival the officer stated the subject told him that he wrecked his vehicle on Hwy 224 near the South Sulphur bridges. Officer requested Hunt County EMS, stating the victim had serious injuries.
Hunt County EMS & Commerce Fire units responded to the scene eventually landing a medical helicopter to fly out the patient.
DPS was called to the scene to conduct their accident investigation, as always. DPS located the vehicle off in the treeline near the bridges. Upon making entry into the wrecked vehicle the DPS officer located a second patient. He immediately called for a second ambulance.
Hunt County EMS along with Commerce Rescue made scene to where the vehicle was wrecked out at. Commerce rescue had to extricate the second patient from the vehicle. EMS quickly launched another helicopter to the scene.
At this time we do not know the status of either patient.
