Hunt County Pursuit Ends In The Neylandville Area Friday Night.

A vehicle led Hunt County units on a chase through Greenville and back out to the Neylandville area late Friday night.

The chase started when a Hunt County Deputy attempted to stop a vehicle after passing him doing 116MPH per scanner traffic. The officer attempted to pull the passenger vehicle over in the area of FM 499 & I-30, the vehicle refused to stop, leading the deputy on a high speed chase down I-30 Westbound towards Greenville.

The vehicle entered Greenville where it jumped the ditch near Highway 69, eventually turning onto Highway 69 South towards Lone Oak. The chase passed FM 1570 where the vehicle made a U-turn, and turned back Northbound on Highway 69.

The chase eventually made it back onto Interstate 30 Eastbound. With speeds around 100MPH at times, the vehicle took the Lee Street exit, with the pursuit reaching FM 118 heading towards the Highway 224 area. The chase turned onto Highway 224 towards Commerce. The Suspect took County Road 4309 off Highway 224 where speeds slowed due to mechanical failure to the suspect vehicle, per scanner traffic.

Deputies finally got the vehicle stopped on County Road 4309 where 1 suspect took off running on foot, and 3 other passengers were detained at the scene. Deputies searched the area for the suspect that ran, learning they lived nearby, and possibly ran to their residence.

Sheriff Terry Jones made scene where he later located & took the suspect into custody without further incident.

Great work to all officers involved. Commerce PD and Greenville did assist.
