McKinney – Joel Torres was arrested and booked into the Collin County Jail on Murder charges after telling 9-1-1 he accidentally shot and killed his common in law wife.
Sunday just after 1:00PM, McKinney Police received a call from Joel Torres requesting EMS to the 4600 block of Kingsway LN stating he accidentally shot his common in law wife attempting to clear his weapon.
McKinney Police investigated Torres account of what happened leading up to the shooting and Torres was arrested and booked into the Collin County Jail.
A bond is set at $200,000. The investigation is ongoing at this time.
