At approximately 3:45 PM on January 22, 2022 the Hunt County Sheriff’s Office received a call of possible human remains found on County Road 1060.
Hunt County Sheriff’s Deputies and Investigators arrived on the scene and located what appeared to be a human skull. Hunt County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigation Division conducted a thorough search of the area and no other remains were located.
County Road 1060 sits North of Greenville, off of Highway 69 towards Celeste, and is accessable off of FM 1569.
The Hunt County Sheriff’s Office assisted by the Texas Ranger will be working with the University of North Texas Center for Human Identification to determine identity.
