Monday afternoon the Commerce Police Department requested assistance from the Hunt County Sheriff’s Office on a manhunt in the area of Hwy 24 and Hwy 11.
Early reports suggest the Commerce Police Department attempted to serve a warrant on a subject wanted for a Parole Violation and the suspect took off on foot from officers.
The Hunt County Sheriff’s Office, Hunt County Constables Office, Commerce Police Department & TDCJ K-9 Team all assisted in the search for this wanted suspect.
The suspect was never located during the initial search.
Later Monday evening Commerce Police Department received information on the suspect’s location. The suspect Thomas Frisbee was located in the 1300 block of Park Street at a nearby convenience store, in Commerce, and was taken into custody without further incident.
