Subject Hit And Killed By Semi Truck In Gainesville

The Texas Department Of Public Safety released this statement in reference to a semi truck that hit and killed a pedestrian in the Gainesville area early Wednesday morning.

Preliminary investigation indicates just after 4:00AM, Wednesday morning a 2022 Kenworth T860 towing a semi-trailer was traveling north on I.H. 35 in Gainesville, Texas city limits.

Ozie Beason, of Gainesville, Texas attempted to cross the highway in the path of Semi Truck, and was hit, being pronounced deceased on scene.
