Tarrant County Auto Crimes Task Force Recovers $73K in Stolen Vehicles

WISE COUNTY, Texas – The Tarrant Regional Auto Crimes Task Force (TRACTF), working alongside the Texas Department of Public Safety, recovered six stolen vehicles worth approximately $73,000 from a rural Wise County property.

Following a tip from TXDPS, investigators executed a search warrant and inspected over 60 vehicles on the property. Six were confirmed stolen, originating from Texas and Oklahoma.

Wise County is one of seven counties in TRACTF’s jurisdiction, including Tarrant, Parker, Hood, Jack, Palo Pinto, and Somervell. The Wise County Sheriff’s Office contributes a full-time investigator to the task force to combat auto theft and related crimes.

The recovered vehicles are being processed for return. The investigation remains ongoing, and no suspects have been publicly identified at this time.
