HOPKINS COUNTY, TX — On August 2, 2025, Texas DPS Officers arrested Guadalupe Rodriguez, age 39, after a traffic stop on Interstate 30 Eastbound at Mile Marker 135 revealed she had an active felony warrant for Intoxication Assault with Vehicle Causing Serious Bodily Injury (SBI).


According to the affidavit filed by Texas DPS Trooper Hernandez, Rodriguez was a passenger in a black 2016 Cadillac Escalade stopped for a window tint violation. The trooper detected the odor of marijuana, removed the occupants, and conducted a probable cause search.


During the stop, Rodriguez was identified and matched to a felony warrant for intoxication assault involving a vehicle. The warrant was confirmed, and she was taken into custody and booked into the Hopkins County Jail. Her bond was set at $35,000.


The offense is classified as a felony in Texas, involving serious bodily harm due to intoxicated vehicle operation.
