Sulphur Springs DWI Arrest: Driver Allegedly Three Times Over Limit – Hopkins County

In the early morning hours of November 23, 2025, a Sulphur Springs Police Department officer conducted a traffic stop on a blue Nissan Maxima near the 100 block of North Jackson Street in Sulphur Springs, Hopkins County, Texas. The stop was initiated for a reported traffic violation.

The driver was identified as Christian Marshall, 28. According to the arresting officer’s report, Marshall displayed slurred speech and slightly heavy eyes during the encounter. Marshall told the officer she had been playing pool and admitted to consuming several alcoholic drinks prior to driving.

Standardized field sobriety tests were administered roadside, and the officer reported that Marshall failed the tests. She was placed in double-locked handcuffs and transported to the Hopkins County Jail for further investigation. After an observation period, Marshall provided two breath specimens, which reportedly showed blood alcohol concentration results of 0.236 and 0.242.

Marshall was booked into the Hopkins County Jail by Sgt. Mayes (Badge #206), Sulphur Springs Police Department, on a charge of Driving While Intoxicated with Previous Conviction (Class A misdemeanor). The vehicle was left at the scene, and personal property was released to a family member. No additional charges were noted at the time of booking.
