Barricaded Person Situation In Greenville Ends With No Injuries

GREENVILLE: On May 16, 2019, at 11:49 am the Greenville Police Department received a report of an assault at a residence in the 4200 block of Washington Street. Officers contacted the victim at a separate location. The victim alleged the suspect committed an assault while also making
threats with the use of a weapon. Officers went to the residence and attempted to make contact with the suspect, who refused to exit the house.
The Greenville Police Department Tactical Team and negotiators responded to the scene. After several hours of negotiations, a search warrant was obtained for the residence. Shortly after 7:00 pm, the Greenville Police Department Tactical Team was able to safely remove the suspect from
the residence. The suspect was arrested and charged with Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon, which is a Felony of the Second Degree.
The investigation is still on-going and there is no further information available at this time.
